Foals!!

Wowie, went to the Foals show last night and had a great time! What a fun band, both live and recorded; I observed quite a few interesting things last night, at the show and the amazing after party. Bumping shit, guys. And their lead singer looks like a pudgy version of Prince!

First, after the show, I saw a physically disabled person literally flying down the side walk using one of those walker things with wheels that you usually see older people using. He was just jetting down the road, I couldn't believe it! 

Second, cocaine is a terrible drug. It makes people stink, common manners and courtesy usually go by the wayside, and you just generally act like a complete prick. As North Americans, our diets are not the best. A guy burped in my face and it was a mixture of tobacco, cheeseburger(s) and booger sugar.

Toronto can be a rough town for energy & enthusiasm at shows. The Foals show was pretty jumping, but people just don't make enough noise up here, it's a real downer at most shows, as most of these musicians are used to walls of screaming, sweaty people. Some people don't clap or dance or scream or anything, it's truly fuckin' disgusting. 

If you wanted to just stand and listen to music, stay at home, assholes. At the after party, there were, like, 3 swarthy looking douchers literally standing in the middle of the dance floor for almost 2hrs, more than likely hoping for a nip to brush them, as they haven't made any physical contact with a woman since the last time they paid for a tug. Arrrgh, it's so frustrating! 

The after party was definitely more loose, people were movin' and groovin'. Danced a bit with a Amazonian chick that kept accidentally whacking me with her big purse. But it was fun and we did a little chorus line kick dance, at one point. Good times on the dance floor! 

Around 2:30, walked through Parkdale to Roncy and hopped a cab. An amazing, sweaty, beautiful spring night, all in all.
